Ferguson recovering in hospital after brain haemorrhage

One of the world's most pre-eminent football managers Sir Alex Ferguson has had emergency surgery after suffering a brain haemorrhage. His former club Manchester United said the procedure had gone "very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery".
