WLAN-Adapter deinstalliert

Hallo zusammen!

Scheinbar wurde mein WLAN-Adapter deinstalliert. Ich war das nicht, vermutlich muss das durch eine Art Virus geschehen sein. Die Testzeit meines Anti-Viren-Programms war gerade abgelaufen.

Im Geräte-Manager wird der Adapter auch nicht mehr angezeigt, nicht mal mit Fragezeichen.

Wie soll ich nun verfahren?

Da er nicht mehr angezeigt wird, wusste ich nicht wie der Adapter heißt. Ich konnte aber herausfinden, dass in meinem Laptop (Windows 8.1, 64bit) ein Intel 802.11ac verbaut sein muss.

Den Treiber kann ich mir über USB-Stick holen, denke ich. Aber kann ich den Adapter nur mit einem Treiber installieren, wenn er mir nicht einmal angezeigt wird?
