Malaysia’s former Prime Minister barred from leaving country

Malaysia's former Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife have been barred from leaving the country. Immigration officials stopped the pair leaving on a private jet to Indonesia, amid rumours Mr Razak was fleeing the country to escape possible prosecution over a massive corruption scandal. Mr Razak's coalition was beaten in the general election by Mahathir Mohamad's four-party alliance last week.
