Internet sells for $7.2m in virtual auction

An NFT for the source code for the internet as we know it was sold at auction on Wednesday evening as a nonfungible token, or NFT, for $US5.4 million ($A7.2 million), becoming the latest digital collectable to fetch a multimillion-dollar price.
