“When we start designing the emotes we start by asking ‘what aspect of humanity is this emote expressing?’ We’re not just giving people tons of emotes from the beginning, we’re allowing them to slowly progress through the world and see the story behind each of those emotes as you collect them,” Sky: Children of the Light gameplay designer Atlas Chen tells GLHF. “The purpose of the stories connected to each emote is to show what kind of behaviour and culture we want to create in the world of Sky.”
