Furry echidna spotted in Tassie

That is one soft echidna (family Tachyglossidae)! This fluffy echidna was spotted on Bruny Island, Tasmania. Well known for having spines, echidna also have fur, and its thickness varies depending on the animal's geographical location. Echidnas in Tasmania often have thicker fur to keep them warm.
