New research finds women with ‘apple’ figure more prone to heart attacks

New research has found women with an 'apple' figure are more prone to heart attacks. A UK study discovered people with large waists and smaller hips - especially if they're female - have a significantly increased risk of attack. The findings from the Journal of the American Heart Association paper suggest the waist-to-hip ratio may be a better predictor of heart attacks than general obesity. It also reveals the different ways men and women store fat and how that affects their health.
